Can you deep fry in a Thermomix?
Besides chopping, frying, kneading or steaming new Thermomix® TM6 can even fry 160° or slow cook – in total it unites more than 20 appliances in one. It does sous vide (vacuum cooking) and it ferments.
Can Thermomix replace slow cooker?
Slow cooking with Thermomix® is an entirely new way of cooking. Gently simmering ingredients over a longer period of time brings out deep, complex flavours that you won’t get with any other method of cooking.
Is Thermomix worth the money?
It is also great for kids to use with minimal supervision. If you broke the expense down to a cost per year, my Thermomix would cost me $140 per year so far, so I think it’s worth the investment as opposed to buying a cheaper machine that you have to replace every couple of years.

Can Thermomix bake?
The Thermomix requires some moisture to be in the mixing bowl whilst heating. You can’t bake in it. It can definitely create and knead dough, but you’re gonna have to then decant it into a suitable baking tin and pop it in the oven to bake it. It can’t replace a pressure cooker.

What is so special about a Thermomix?

Can Thermomix TM6 deep-fry?
No. The TM6 is not designed for making popcorn or for deep-frying food. While the TM6 can actually reach a maximum temperature of 160°C/320°F, we ONLY allow this with the Guided Cooking feature (i.e. in a controlled environment) for safety reasons.
